Evaluation and Development of Beautiful Villages in Kedungarum Village, Kuningan District

Kuningan, October 9, 2024 – BPS Kuningan Regency, represented by the Kedungarum Village Beautiful Village Development Team, carried out the Evaluation and Development of the Beautiful Village of Kedungarum Village, Kuningan District on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 which took place in the Kedungarum Village Office Hall, Kuningan District.

Beautiful Village Development or Statistics Love Village is a program of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) to increase the capacity of village apparatus in providing quality statistical data.

The program aims to:

• Increase literacy, awareness, and the active role of village and community officials in the implementation of statistical activities
• Maintain the quality and comparability of statistical indicators
• Optimize the use and utilization of statistical data
• Establish statistical agents at the village/sub-district level

The event began with a directive delivered by the Head of the Beautiful Village Coaching Team, Mrs. Beti Yayu Yuningsih, SE to the Statistics Agent and All Kedungarum Village Officials regarding the importance of data in village development. He said that this beautiful village is expected to be able to educate the village so that it is not only limited to being an object of development but also as a spearhead of development in improving the welfare of the community through accurate and appropriate data.

Then continued with remarks by the Head of Kedungarum Village, Mr. Sarip Hidayat, he expressed his gratitude for the Beautiful Village (Statistics Love Village) activity carried out by BPS and hoped that this activity would be able to increase literacy about statistics.

The event continued with the presentation of the procedures for managing the village website by STIS children, starting from how to post news about village activities on the website, making infographics, how to process data in the form of tables and graphics, etc.

After that, the coaching event was closed with an evaluation delivered by the Young Expert Statistician of BPS Kuningan Regency, Mr. Raditya Novidianto, S.ST., M.Stat. regarding the implementation and assessment mechanism of the Beautiful Village. He also gave a "Challenge" to the Kedungarum Village Apparatus to be able to apply the results of the beautiful village development carried out by BPS Kuningan Regency to make a news or article of an activity that has just been carried out by Kedungarum Village.

It is hoped that with the Evaluation and Development of Beautiful Villages carried out by BPS, Kedungarum Village Statistics Agents and Apparatus will be able to take an active role in the implementation of statistical activities. As well as being able to optimize the use and utilization of statistical data and be able to continue to update the Village Data continuously.
