Internalization of Sectoral Statistics Development at BPS Kuningan Regency Level

Starting statistical activities in February 2024, BPS Kuningan Regency on Thursday, February 1 2024 at the BPS Kuningan Regency Office Hall held a knowledge sharing activity entitled "Internalization of Sectoral Statistics Development of BPS Kuningan Regency in 2024".

This event was held on the initiative and direct instructions from the head of BPS Kuningan Regency, Mrs. Irna Afrianti, S.Si., M.E. Taking into consideration that the Sectoral Statistics Development Planning Activities which were carried out by BPS RI on January 30 2024 were a realization of the role of BPS in accordance with the Mandate of Presidential Decree No. 39 of 2019 concerning One Indonesian Data.

This Internalization activity was attended by all Kuningan Regency BPS Organic Employees who will later be integrated into several Sectoral Statistics Development teams. The number of teams formed is as many as district level departments/agencies which will be the object of sectoral statistical development activities. This team will later be responsible for carrying out statistical development activities for the Service Organization (OPD) in Kuningan Regency

One of the outputs of this PSS activity is the Statistical Development Index (IPS) figures as a benchmark for the success of sectoral statistical development. The IPS figures themselves are produced through the Sectoral Statistics Implementation Evaluation (EPSS) activities which are carried out at the end of each year.

From the presentation of this team, PSS BPS Kuningan Regency, led by Mrs. Beti Yayu Yuningsih, S.E and also the only Associate Expert Statistician at BPS Kuningan Regency, the EPSS results in 2023, the IPS figure in Kuningan Regency reached 2.4. This figure indicates that the implementation of sectoral statistics in Kuningan Regency is still in the moderate / poor category. He added that at least, to get a Good category predicate in terms of implementing sectoral statistics, the IPS score that must be obtained must be at least 2.6.

In more depth, Mr. Andrianto, S.Si, as a member of the Kuningan Regency BPS Sectoral Statistics Development team, stated that the objectives of Statistics development are: to increase the community's contribution and appreciation of statistics; building a national statistical information reference center; developing a National Statistical System; and support national development. Meanwhile, the target for Statistical Development in accordance with BPS Agency Regulation (Perban) No. 4/2019 is the implementation of sectoral statistical activities by the Regional Government in accordance with the Norms, Standards, Procedures and Criteria for Implementing Sectoral Statistics
