The National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) and the Integrated Susenas (SERUTI) can be said to be the mother of BPS surveys. This is due to the complex dimensions of the variables covered and the urgency of the various indicators produced from this survey.
One of the stages that is no less important in the series of Susenas - Seruti activities is the price range enumeration which is carried out within the time period for updating the household list and before the enumeration of selected sample households is carried out.
The enumeration of price ranges in the National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) has important significance in producing quality data. Here are some relevant points:
1. Main Objective: Enumeration of price ranges aims to record price variations of various commodities in the market. By understanding price ranges, we can identify price fluctuations that impact household life.
2. Data Quality: Price range data helps ensure that prices recorded during a survey are accurate and representative. By collecting this data, we can avoid biases that might arise if we only take prices at one point in time.
3. Price Determination: During Susenas data collection, officers use price range data to determine the prices of commodities purchased by households. This ensures that recorded prices reflect actual market conditions.
4. Role of Officers: Survey officers collect price range data from various places such as shops, kiosks and markets. By carrying out this enumeration, we can ensure that the data produced is relevant and accurate.
In Kuningan Regency, simultaneous price range enumeration was carried out from 12 - 18 February by Field Inspectors (PML) in all Susenas - Seruti sample Census Blocks for the first semester of 2024. The objects of the Price Range enumeration were traders of commonly consumed commodities. by selected census block households. The traders in question can be kiosks, stalls for nine basic commodities (sembako) or the closest market to the selected census block location.
The Susenas-Seruti Field Inspection Officers (PML) at BPS Kuningan district enthusiastically and responsibly carry out the task of enumerating price ranges to ensure the accuracy of commodity prices per unit weight or other local units.
